Book Donations

We are once again accepting donations!  There’s a drop box in our parking lot which you can use to donate books any time.  The box is affiliated with Better World Books, a for-profit company that collects and sells books online.  Each sale generates income for the library and books that are not sold are donated to literacy initiatives around the world or recycled.

The pandemic has shut down our bookstore, AfterWords, indefinitely.  Although we cannot accommodate people who want to come in and purchase, through the drop box we can still provide a place for people to donate books and generate some income for the library.

Saleable items are preferred including recent titles of books and DVDs in good condition.  No CDs, please.

**PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS FOR LIBRARY BOOK RETURNS!  USE THE BOOK DROPS BY THE ENTRANCE...IF THE DROP IS FULL, PLEASE HOLD ON TO YOUR DONATIONS UNTIL IT'S EMPTY**

Holiday Building Closing

The Library remains open even if the building will close for a little while...

Because of rising rates of COVID-19 infection in the County and in the town of New Providence, we are being cautious and closing our building to public access from Monday, December 21 through at least Monday January 11 subject to a decrease in infection levels.

Staff is, of course, in the building and we will continue to offer foyer pickup, craft kits and window shopping.  We also have special book bundles prepared for fast  and contact-free gift giving which are available in the foyer.  Take advantage of our Choose 3 Books for Me service or use the Browse Our Shelves feature to request items.  Make sure to check out Ms. Sam's Story Time Room to make browsing for kids' books fun and high tech.

Check our full schedule of events, too.  We look forward to welcoming you back into the library in the New Year and we hope that the holidays bring peace, joy and health to you and all of your loved ones.
