Afterwords Bookstore

Used books are available for purchase at unbeatable prices in our basement bookstore. Head downstairs to shop for books for yourself, for children, for caregivers, for friends. We have a great selection of children's books, teen and adult fiction, and nonfiction. Plus audiobooks on CD, DVD movies and music CDs. Books make great gifts!

AfterWords Constant Contact

We are also accepting donations in excellent condition. Donated books can be dropped off at the bottom of the basement stairs, through the gray door in the Children's Room. Please do not leave donations outside in the elements.

Accepting AfterWords Donations 2

Check out the AfterWords bookstore's wonderful collection of gently used books of all kinds - children's, travel, picture, popular fiction and a great selection of non-fiction.  Prices range from $.50 to $2.00.

AfterWords is located in the basement of the library. Open the gray door in the children's department and go down the stairs. Please leave donations in the bins at the bottom of the stairs. Pay for your books upstairs at the Circulation Desk.  Funds raised by the bookstore provide additional support for library services.

AfterWords accepts the following types of donations if they are in excellent condition: recent fiction/nonfiction, children's books, like-new paperbacks, and audiobooks.

Afterwords DOES NOT accept the following types of donations: magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, test prep books, cookbooks, computer books, books printed before 2004, paperbacks with creased spines, books with yellowed pages, books with spots along the paper edges, books that have torn pages or pages with stains, books that smell musty, books that have been written in or highlighted, discarded library books. Unfortunately these books do not sell well, and space in the bookstore is limited.

*The Library reserves the right to turn away any donations that are not appropriate for our purposes.

Sunlight to read by

Spring is sprouting with crocuses and evening sunlight. It's a great time to shake of the winter cobwebs and get outdoors.

Take a walk to the library to check out a book, and use the natural light to read a little longer. You can browse our full catalog from anywhere. If you'll be out getting some exercise, try downloading an audiobook to keep you going. You can even stream music from Hoopla to add a little rhythm to your day. If you're suffering from cabin fever, the library is a great place to visit, no matter the weather. Pick up a Library Travelers Passport and collect stamps in our Around the World Community Read!  Attend one of our great free events for kids, teens or adults, including Makers Day weekend March 24-25.

There's so much to do at your local library. Mark down dates from our Calendar to add to yours. Join us!
