A new decade has begun and we are celebrating it with fun activities, new items in the collection, a new concert season and innovative art exhibits.
We have fun things planned from Pirate events for our Community Read to art exhibits, book clubs, crafts, movies and more. This year our Community Read is all about Pirates & Privateering. Choose a pirate-themed book from our recommendations or attend one of many pirate programs or movies during Jan, Feb & March.
Musicals for Lovers on 2/2 will feature film clips and discussions of the greatest love stories in musicals. Meet Holocaust survivor Mark Schonwetter and his daughter Ann Arnold, author of "Together: a Journey for Survival" at a book signing on 2/9. And don't forget New Jersey Makers Day events on 3/21 and 3/22 to celebrate makers, crafters and tinkerers alike -- this year we celebrate the theme of Music! March is also Women's History Month - Rosie the Riveter will be visiting the library on 3/31 to discuss "Soldiers Without Guns: Women Defense Workers of WWII".
Teens this winter can get help with exams Jan 21-30, then prepare for college admissions testing on 2/1. And after all that work, have fun with Chocolate Olympics on 2/19.
Children are always a pleasure to see here for storytimes, crafts and monthly clubs. Plus we'll host Treats for Tweets on 1/15, Pirate Bingo on 2/10, and Captain Hook LIVE on 2/18.
This is your community library and we love to see you here in the stacks, at events or reading the newspaper.
