To the New Providence Community,
It is my honor to serve our wonderful community of New Providence as the new Director for the New Providence Memorial Library. For those of you who know me, you know that I love our town and our library, and I am thrilled to be able to help lead this important organization into the future. For those who may not yet know me, allow me to introduce myself.
I have been a resident of New Providence for over 16 years, along with my husband and our three children. My professional background includes experience as a middle and high school English teacher, a computer systems analyst, a freelance writer and, for the past five years, this library's Teen Services and PR Coordinator. I have over 12 years of volunteer experience in our community with the BSA, PTA, PAL, and other organizations. I love our little hamlet of Nice Place, Nice People. We truly are a community of service, a community of caring, and a community of excellence.
I look forward to continuing to serve our library users with fantastic collections, programs and the best library staff in the area. If you haven't been to our library in a while, stop in. Get a new library card, attend a free event, join a book group, or just come in to sit, read or get work done. We love seeing familiar faces and meeting new people.
We are looking forward to implementing our Strategic Plan, which I reviewed to the public on Saturday, March 25. This plan was developed with input from our Board of Trustees, staff and many members of our community who came to focus groups and completed our surveys. If you couldn't make it to the presentation, you can review the Strategic Plan here. Please feel free to reach out to me with questions, or stop in to say hello.
It's an exciting time here at the New Providence Memorial Library! We hope to see you here soon.
Sincerely,
Stacey Maisch
Library Director
